On Your Radar - September 14, 2021

On Your Radar is back at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 3 - Enter on Orchard Street

Jefferson Berry & the UAC combine story telling in the Urban Folk tradition with the intricacies of JamBand and Roots instrumentation. These songs are performed by a cadre of unique players: The Urban Acoustic Coalition, a band anchored by the virtuosity of Bud Burroughs and more recently, Meaghan Kyle. Filling venues with a coalition of three to seven players, UAC shows are a dynamic performance of songs about the city. The April 2021 release of Soon! is the band's fourth. https://www.jeffersonberry.com/

Heather Aubrey Lloyd has played bait shops and biker weeks alike for two decades, a recovering reporter whose love of travel and story evolved into adventurous songwriting. A "Janis meets Joni" voice accompanied by finger-picked guitar, with lyrical rhythms/hand percussion influenced by Baltimore's scene. Best known as co-front to ilyAIMY, Lloyd's solo efforts earned Falcon Ridge Folk Fest Most-Wanted Artist, National Women's Music Fest Emerging Artist, No Depression/FreshGrass Finalist, Top 4 Telluride Troubadour and the Grand Prize Bernard Ebb Award. https://www.heatheraubreylloyd.com/

Bob Bradshaw is a storyteller. And like any good storyteller, he possesses the ability to transform himself right before your very eyes, to not only craft a compelling cast of characters, but to inhabit them with complete and utter conviction. Take a listen to Irish-born songwriter's captivating ninth album, The Ghost Light, and you'll find a true chameleon at work. Praised as a writer of "instant classics" by No Depression, Bradshaw offers a potent mix of folk erudition and rock and roll urgency. https://www.bobbradshaw.net/home
