Sunday Supper: 12/01/19

With such a late Thanksgiving, it's safe for "Sunday Supper" to dabble in the occasional new song for the holidays. This week, appropriately, it's "New York Holiday" by Josh Rouse. And with Holiday Cheer for FUV in mind, we'll hear a song from newly-minted Best New Artist Grammy nominee, Yola, who will join us at the Beacon on December 10.

The highlight this week, though, will be visit with Alice Howe and Freebo. She's a gifted young artist, and he's a veteran bass player and producer known for his work with Bonnie Raitt. They collaborated on her full-length debut Visions and promise us a couple of live tunes in Studio A.

With less than a month to go to Christmas, we're making every Sunday count from 5-6 p.m. at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org, in real time or streaming, in the WFUV app and the WFUV Weekend Archives, aided and abetted by Alexa or other smart speaker.
