Sunday Supper: 04/28/19

May 3, 2019 would have been Pete Seeger’s 100th birthday. This week and next, the Sunday Supper honors Pete’s music and legacy with an updated version of a 90-minute special I produced for his 90th birthday, in a two-part Seeger Centennial.

We’ll hear some of his best-known songs in Pete’s own recordings and versions by other artists. We’ll hear about his influence from admirers such as Joan Baez, Nancy Griffith, Roger McGuinn, Peter Yarrow, Noel Stookey, Judy Collins, Tom Paxton and many others, and we’ll hear from Pete himself in several interviews I did with him over the years.
