Sunday Supper: 08/15/21

The dog days of August are brightened by a couple of significant birthdays. This week's "Sunday Supper" will celebrate master songwriter Jimmy Webb's 75th (including covers by Linda Ronstadt and Colin Hay) and harmonizer-in-chief David Crosby's 80th (including tracks by the Byrds, CSN, and David's brand-new solo album).

Another veteran rocker, Wille Nile, will share a song inspired by John Lewis on his new album, The Day the Earth Stood Still. And we'll hear recent releases from a younger generation of artists: Jesse Terry, Crys Matthews, Della Mae, and Leon Bridges.

"Sunday Supper" and the livin' is easy between 5-6 p.m. EDT at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org, or anytime in the WFUV Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app, or the air condtioned smart speaker of your choice.
