Sunday Supper: 09/19/21

Ana Egge is a songwriter's songwriter, admired by the likes of Lucinda Williams and Ron Sexsmith. Her new album, Between Us, while sonically edgier than some of her previous ones, concludes with the tender, heartfelt tribute to her nephew, "We Lay Roses."  I premiered the video on my New Folk Initiative website and share the song on tthis week's "Sunday Supper."

Some of the other new releases include Carrie Newcomer, Watchhouse (formerly Mandolin Orange), Son Volt, Jason Grimm, and Fox Run Five, while favorites such as Arlo Guthrie, Indigo Girls, George Harrison, Rosanne Cash, Townes Van Zandt, and Ray Charles round out the playlist. Plus we celebrate the comeback of Broadway with a track from Hamilton.

Lots to love just between us between 5-6 p.m. at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org or anytime on demand in the WFUV Weekend Archives, on the  WFUV app or the sonically-secure smart speaker of your smart speaker of your choice.
