Sunday Supper: 10/16/22

Sunday Supper is excited to present the radio premiere of "Tribute to a Songpoet: Songs of Eric Andersen" in this week's show, with an unreleased recording from the early '70s of Bob Dylan covering a classic Eric Andersen tune. I'll also have birthday wishes for Phil Lesh and Laura Nyro, new releases from Jake Blount, Joe Holt, and Peter Mulvey, and favorites from Billie Holiday, Richard Thompson, The Lumineers, and Kenny White.

Another highlight:an international cast, including Bruce Cockburn and Ani DiFranco, coming together to record a new version of "Which Side Are You On?" to protest the war in Ukraine. I'm asking you which side you're on in the fight for public radio. WFUV's fall member drive concludes on Sunday night, and I could use all your support between 5-6 pm EDT at 9pm at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org.

If the cause of carefully curated music, both old and new, in a variety of genres, matters to you, I hope you'll stand up and be counted (supportwfuv.org)!
