Sunday Supper: 03/20/22

This week's "Sunday Supper" celebrates the arrival of spring with songs by the Beatles and Gillian Welch. More urgently, Rhiannon Giddens, Tom Paxton, Sue Horowitz, Josie Bello, and Willie Nile issue a call to action for peace and solidarity to the people of Ukraine.

I'll have a combined toast to Aretha Franklin's and Elton John's birthdays (both on March 25), new music from Bruce T. Carroll, HuDost, and Jordi Baizan, and covers of Amy Speace and Tom Petty by Judy Collins and the Wailin' Jennys, respectively.

Here's to the promise of spring - and peace - from 5-6 p.m. EDT at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org, or anytime in the WFUV Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app, or the hopeful smart speaker of your choice.
