Sunday Supper: 12/17/23
As we hurtle through December, "Sunday Supper" is having a "fall cleanup day," spotlighting significant new releases or ones I've overlooked for the past few months. The prolific Neil Young, who's frequently tended to his archives, is back with Before + After, revisiting his catalog with new arrangements. Neil is also included on the new double CD, celebrating the equally prolific Willie Nelson's 90th birthday at the Hollywood Bowl.
The finale to Willie Nelson 90 is a duet with Keith Richards, who turns a mere 80 on Tuesday, inspiring a medley of Rolling Stones classics. Also on tap this week: a new Lucinda Williams tribute album by Amos Lee and new releases I'm overdue to play by Terry Klein, Pete Mancini, Meg Hutchinson, Maura O'Connell, Niam Connelly, and David Goldman.
Seize the musical moment from 4-6 p.m. EST at 90.7 FM and streaming online, on demand in the WFUV Archives, on the WFUV app or the late-blooming smart speaker of your choice.
