Sunday Supper: 04/30/23

If you're into celebrations, this week's "Sunday Supper' is full of them. First, there's Willie Nelson's 90th birthday, which brings a slew of originals, covers, and collaborations with the likes of B.B. King, Wynton Marsalis, Norah Jones, Jake Shimabukuro, and Lucinda Williams. We'll also toast Pete Seeger, who would've been 104 next week, and honor a 96-year-old NYC native who made a real difference in the world, Harry Belafonte.

There's no shortage of new releases, either, from Rodney Crowell, Nickel Creek, Rachel Baiman, Natalie MacMaster, Bela Fleck, and others.

Honor the elders and embrace the new, as Vin Scelsa would say, between 5-6 p.m. EDT at 90.7 FM and streaming online or in the WFUV Archives, on the WFUV app, or the celebratory smart speaker of your choice.
