Sunday Supper: 05/21/23

With Bob Dylan's 82nd birthday coming on Wednesday, it's time for Sunday Supper's annual Survey of Recent Bob Dylan Covers. This year's winners include Dom Flemons (with an obscure tune first heard on one of the official bootleg series), Valerie June, Pat Wictor, The Cactus Blossoms, Happy Traum, and Leftover Salmon. We'll also hear from Mr. Dylan himself in a set of three concert performances he did in the watershed year of 1963.

Other highlights include new releases by Rhiannon Giddens (Flemons' old bandmate from the Carolina Chocolate Drops), the Milk Carton Kids, and David Wax  Museum, a toast to Stevie Nicks' 75th birthday, and a set about journeys to the border by Diana Jones, Linda Ronstadt & Emmylou Harris, and others.
