Sunday Supper: 01/14/24

A couple of my friends are celebrating major birthdays on Tuesday: Tony Trischka's 75th and Jill Sobule's 65th, prompting some love from "Sunday Supper." New Jersey homeboy Trischka will welcome some fellow banjoists (Steve Martin, Noam Pikelny, Abigail Washburn, et al.) to a Birthday Bash on Friday at City Winery. Angeleno Sobule returns to Joe's Pub on January 30 for her own concert.

Other highlights this week include new releases by Aoife O'Donovan, Jim Lauderdale, and Open Book, and unconventional covers by Lana Del Rey, Wilco, and Molly Tuttle.
