Sunday Supper: 12/15/24

As you contend with the holiday crush, I hope you can spare some time for "Sunday Supper" - and perhaps spare a few dollars during WFUV's brief year-end member drive. I'll have some music which I hope will make it worth your while. With all the buzz about the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown opening on Christmas, I'll give you a chance to hear how well Timothee Chalamet channels Dylan. I'll also have new music by Josh Ritter (whom Joan Baez once singled as the best of his generation upholding Dylan's standards).

Other highlights include new releases by Lucinda Williams, Amythyst Kiah, Nefesh Mountain, and holiday music by Laufey and Ben Folds, plus classics from Joan Armatrading, Bonnie Raitt, The Beatles, and the Grateful Dead.

It's been a tough year for many folks, and that includes WFUV, having had to replace our transmitter and cancel Holiday Cheer. We hope you'll step up with a tax-deductible year-end contribution to make up our budget deficit. Now we need it more than ever, music makes the world a better place. And (he said modestly), perhaps "Sunday Supper" makes WFUV a better radio station, with such a classy and compassionate audience. Can I count on you to contribute between 4:00-6:00 pm EST at 833-907-WFUV or anytime online at wfuv.org? Thanks as always for your support!
