Sunday Supper: 06/02/24

Banjo eminence Tony Trischka, famed as Bela Fleck's teacher and Steve Martin's Grammy-winning producer, comes to "Sunday Supper" this week for a studio session, joined by some of Brooklyn's finest roots musicians. Our conversation covers his brand-new CD, Earl Jam, based on the collaborations between Earl Scruggs and John Hartford, and some of the highlights of his wide-ranging career.

I'll also include new releases by Richard Thompson and Kim Richey, plus treasures by Bob Weir, Jimmy Cliff, Joe Jackson, and the Incredible String Band.

Keep on pickin' from 4:00-6:00 p.m. EDT at 90.7 FM and streaming online, not to mention on-demand in the WFUV Archives, on the WFUV app, or the all-encompassing smart speaker of your choice.
