With a voice that draws comparisons to artists from Lake Street Dive to Norah Jones, and a sound described by Vance Gilbert as "Shawn Colvin meets Joni Mitchell has lunch with Amy Winehouse", Alisa Amador's soulful singing, poetically incisive lyrics, and syncopated rhythms are likely to make you cry, laugh, and dance all within one set. Her music has been described as soulful, jazzy folk-rock with Hispanic heart. https://alisaamador.com/
Fronted by singer-songwriter Kristen Grainger, the folk-bluegrass powerhouse True North includes Dan Wetzel, guitar; mandolin; Martin Stevens, mandolin, fiddle; Josh Adkins, bass – and everybody sings. Kristen was named, alongside Brandi Carlile and Dolly Parton, one of the "Women Who Wrote Our 2020 Soundtrack" by “The Bluegrass Situation.” She won the 2020 USA Songwriting Competition (Folk), and has won or been a finalist at [JP1] Telluride, Merlefest and Kerrville New Folk. The band’s last release, “Ghost Tattoo,” was the #2 for 2020 on the Folk DJ charts. https://www.truenorthband.com/
Singer-songwriter Phil Henry exudes the skill of a craftsman and the authenticity of an artist. He builds detailed worlds and characters who speak through Phil’s words, with “...vivid lyrical imagery that captures the imagination.” ("Seven Days," VT) The upbeat acoustic rhythm and melodic sensibility and lush instrumental treatment is no carbon-copy of popular or folk radio songs, but is instead an expression of Phil’s individuality and craft. The new album, “Chasing Echoes,” debuted at #2 on FAI Folk DJ chart in October. https://philhenryband.com/
