Sunday Supper: 07/07/19

Lukas Nelson has some tips for your sanity on his new album: “Turn Off the News (Build a Garden).” Thankfully, his advice doesn’t extend to music on the radio, so I’m proud to include the song on this week’s “Sunday Supper.”

I’ll also offer dueling Dylans with reviews of Dylan-related films: Martin Scorsese’s idiosyncratic Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story and Andrew Slater’s Echo in the Canyon, which features son Jakob Dylan as a kind of tour guide to the L. A. music scene of the ‘60s.

And we’ll have a preview of Tuesday’s On Your Radar at Rockwood Music Hall with songs by Quentin Callewaert and The Promise Is Hope and a studio session with Karyn Oliver. Plenty to digest on the “Sunday Supper,” 5-6 p.m. EDT or anytime in the Weekend Archives.
