Sunday Supper: 09/29/19
Forty years ago, Chrissie Hynde was a hard-edged goddess of punk. On her new album, Valve Bone Woe, she’s assembled an orchestra of studio musicians to record an album of covers, primarily popular standards. How times change! We’ll have a taste of it on this week’s Sunday Supper.
We’ll also have new music from New York favorites Sophie Buskin, Karyn Oliver, and Jesse Terry with Alex Wong, plus a nod to Woody Guthrie (who passed on 52 years ago on Thursday) from Flagship Romance and Phosphorescence.
This show is your show, Sunday from 5-6 p.m. EDT at 90.7 FM, streaming at wfuv.org or in the WFUV Weekend Archives, with Alexa at your disposal.
