Sunday Supper: 10/04/20
What would John Lennon's music be like if he were still alive? We can only "imagine." With next Friday being the 80th anniversary of his birth, this week's "Sunday Supper" devotes more than half of the show to his songs, as a Beatle and a solo artist, as well as covers by Sloan Wainwright, Judy Collins, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Toby Walker.
We'll also make room for timely topical songs by Roger Street Friedman, Byrd and Street, and the Staples Singers, plus new releases from Suzanne Vega and Suzzy Roche and Lucy Wainwright Roche.
Come together from 5-6 p.m. EDT at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org or anytime in the WFUV Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app or the ju-ju eyeball smart speaker of your choice.
