Sunday Supper: 09/27/20
With the beginning of Yom Kippur, this week's "Sunday Supper" from 5-6 p.m. EDT might not be a priority. Hopefully you'll remember that the show is always available on demand in the archives. Susan Werner addresses the yearning for connection we all feel during the pandemic in a track from her brand-new album Flyover Country. (She'll debut the whole album tonight on Facebook at 7.) We'll have similar sentiments from Barnaby Bright and Zoe Mulford (with Windborne), as well as uplifting songs by Bruce T. Carroll and Gathering Time.
There will also be deep blues from Bettye LaVette, narrative folk from Ronny Cox, and songs for the election year from Michael & Nell and David Roth, as well as old favorites from Dar Williams, Emilylou Harris, Simon & Garfunkel, and Phil Ochs.
Whenever you tune in, and however you tune in (at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org, in the Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app or your trusty smart speaker), you'll find music that resonates to your soul.
