Sunday Supper: 02/09/20

Rockwood Music Hall is celebrating its 15th anniversary this month. Beyond the many FUV Live concerts that have originated at the Lower East Side music mecca, my "On Your Radar" series has found a home there for the past seven years. Appropriately, this month's installment of OYR on Tuesday night features an All-New York lineup: Robinson & Rohe (comprised of singer-songwriter Jean Rohe and Liam Robinson, the music director of Hadestown), Mosa (formed by Melissa Frabotta and Phil Anthony), and Fred Arcoleo. This week's "Sunday Supper" will provide a preview.

I'll also have a recap of some highlights from the Folk Alliance conference in New Orleans at the end of January. In addition to old favorites like Rachael Sage and Susan Werner (whose last album paid homage to NOLA), I came away with a multitude of musical discoveries, including Burnstick, Darling West, and the Mastersons.

Big Easy or Big Apple, we celebrate them all on "Sunday Supper," 5-6 p.m. EST on 90.7 FM or wfuv.org, and on demand in the WFUV Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app, or any semi-smart speaker.
