Sunday Supper: 05/24/20

It's a birthday-palooza on this week's "Sunday Supper!" First, it's Bob Dylan's 79th birthday. We'll hear one of the songs from his forthcoming album, along with my annual survey of recent Dylan cover songs, including Steve Forbert (a "New Dylan" back in the day), Anna Nalick, Annette Wasilik, and Eliza Gilkyson.

Coincidentally, it's also Rosanne Cash's 65th birthday, so we'll toast an FUV fave who's been a New Yorker for nearly 30 years. As a special treat, enjoy "We're All In This Together," a brand new collaboration by Rosanne and John Paul White, a benefit for the Medical Health Alliance. Finally, we'll pay tribute to the Canadian icon and activist Bruce Cockburn, who turns 75 on Wednesday.

Get out the party favors, we can use some socially-distant celebration, from 5-6 p.m. EDT at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org, or on demand in the WFUV Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app, or the festive smart speaker of your choice.
