Sunday Supper: 08/29/21
Diana Jones's extraordinary Song to a Refugee was the #1 album for July on the Folk DJ chart. She's long been one of favorite artists, and I was thrilled when we could arrange a studio session (my first in 17 months!) at Hobo Sound in Weehawken with her producer, the multi-talented David Mansfield. That session will highlight this week's "Sunday Supper."
The show will also give a shout-out to Don Everly, unveil a new reimagining of Woody Guthrie's Dust Bowl Ballads with a selection by Waxahatchee, and share more Bob Dylan covers with John Hurlbut & Jorma Kaukonen, Mark Schatz & Bryan McDowell, Zoe Speaks, and the Queler-Farber Family Band.
Summer's almost over, but the music's going strong from 5-6 pm. at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org or anytime on demand in the WFUV Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app, or the seasonally-adjusted smart speaker of your choice.
