Sunday Supper: 01/30/22

When Graham Nash first heard David Crosby and Stephen Stills harmonize at Joni Mitchell's house, he knew his destiny was to leave England and move to California. Five decades later, he knew his destiny was to leave his wife and move to NYC. In 2016, as that was happening, Graham and I had a conversation about change, Joni, and CSN. In honor of Graham's 80th birthday this Wednesday I'll play a portion of that conversation on this week's "Sunday Supper."

I'll also have a set centered on Nina Simone, prompted by Janis Ian's homage to her friend and inspiration on her new album, Light at the End of the Line; it includes Sunny War and the Cosmic Orchestra's cover of HozierAlison Krauss shows off her vocal talents in duets with Yo-Yo Ma, Michael Feinstein, and Robert Plant. And speaking of duets, John Mellencamp and Bruce Springsteen are still rocking in the USA their '70s.

Toasts, inspirations, and duets fill the hour from 5-6 p.m. EST at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org or anytime in the WFUV Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app or the appreciative smart speaker of your choice.
