Sunday Supper: 02/13/22

"Sunday Supper" has a pre -Valentine's Day treat with songs by James Taylor, Michael Veitch, and Gordonvlle, USA. Tim Buckley was born on Valentine's Day 75 years ago, so we'll remember the late, great songwriter with a pair of his songs. Meanwhile, Neil Young is very much alive and in the news. We'll hear a tender tune from Barn, his new album with Crazy Horse, and a couple of recent covers of Neil's love songs by Avi Wisnia and the HawThorns.

Like Neil, Crys Matthews isn't afraid to express her opinions, which she shares with a new single, "Sister's Keeper," featuring a background choir of her sisters in song, Dar Williams, Holly Near, Melissa Ferrick, Heather Mae, and others. The ever fearless Ani DiFranco has her own take on "Play God" from FUV Live 20. And Jonathan Byrd defies the pandemic by livestreaming a co-write with Abbie Gardner between North Carolina and Jersey City.

Bringing music lovers from L.A. to Jerusalem together Sundays from 5-6 p.m. EST at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org or anytime in the WFUV Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app, or the universally smart speaker of your choice.
