Sunday Supper: 05/22/22
The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has just released an album called Dirt Does Dylan. Well, on this week's "Sunday Supper," everyone does Dylan! It's the annual Festival of Recent Bob Dylan Covers, in honor of his 81st birthday on Tuesday. In addition to the Dirt Band, some of the marquee names include Jorma Kaukonen, Punch Brothers, Chrissie Hynde, and Cowboy Junkies.
Some of the less familiar, but equally talented artists are Barney Bentall, James Lee Baker, Dalia Davis, Bob Malone, Debi Smith, the Queler-Farber Family, and Zoe Speaks. And I'll have a bonus shout-out to Alisa Amador, the Boston singer-songwriter and "On Your Radar" alum who just won NPR's Tiny Desk Contest.
Tangled up in Dylan between 5-6 p.m. EDT at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org and anytime on demand in the Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app, or the forever young smart speaker of your choice.
