Sunday Supper: 06/12/22

There is something glorious about the month of June, which Lyle Lovett has captured in "12th of June," the title track of his new album of covers and originals. This Sunday actually being the 12th of June, how could I resist playing it on "Sunday Supper"? In addition to Lyle, I'll have something new from Lucy Kaplansky, who also has a knack for covers as well as originals.

Other new releases include Diana Jones, who palpably humanizes the plight of Ukrainian refugees in "Crossing Borders," and Deirdre McCalla, who offers perspective on "I Do Not Walk This Path Alone." There is also empathy from The Other Favorites, Leslie Mendelson, and Elliah Heifetz, the three artists who'll perform at Rockwood Music Hall for "On Your Radar." The Decemberists, the Byrds, Iain Matthews, Reggie Harris, Shawn Colvin, and Jackson Browne round out the playlist.
