Sunday Supper: 07/17/22

This coming Tuesday is the 20th anniversary of the passing of Dave Carter, whose last radio appearance was on my show just before he was scheduled to perform at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, where I'd first heard him and his partner Tracy Grammer in 2000. I'll pay tribute to the beloved songwriter on this week's "Sunday Supper" with one of his signature songs and a cover by The Kennedys.

In addition, I'll have a studio session (my first at WFUV in over two years) with Mary Gauthier, whom I also heard for the first time at Falcon Ridge in 2000. She's become a good friend and a Grammy-nominated artist. She's joined by Jaimee Harris for a conversation about her heart-warming new album, Dark Enough to See the Stars. I'll fill the show out with Front Country, Greg Greenway, Chad & Jeremy, and Jackson Browne.

Music to stir your soul from 5-6 p.m. EDT at  90.7 FM and wfuv.org or on demand in the WFUV Weekend Archives, on the WFUV or the resonant smart speaker of your choice.
