Sunday Supper: 09/11/22

With September 11 landing on a Sunday this year, I'll have a medley of songs about 9/11 that continue to resonate, by Sharon Goldman, David Roth, Bruce Springsteen, and Mark Erelli, on "Sunday Supper." In the last 21 years, the world has gotten even more perilous, both at home and abroad. On his fine new song, "Hold Our Ground Forever," Tom Chapin asks, "When darkness overwhems the dawn/Can we find strength to carry on?" Words to ponder.

I'll also have new releases from Jack's Waterfall and Michelle Malone, favorites by Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan & The Band, and Jon Batiste, and a preview of Tuesday's "On Your Radar" at Rockwood Music Hall with Joy Askew. Annette Wasilik, and The Lied To's.

Find strength in music from 5-6 p.m. EDT at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org or anytime in the WFUV Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app, or the resilient smart speaker of your choice.
