Sunday Supper: 01/15/23
This week's "Sunday Supper" has birthday bookends, opening with songs by James Taylor and Nina Simone in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., Day and closing with a shout out to Janis Joplin, who would've been 80 on Thursday.
In between, I'll catch up on new releases by The Heart Collectors, The Whiskey Charmers, Peter Mulvey, Annie Capps, Vince Herman (of Leftover Salmon) and I Draw Slow, and dip into the library for faves by Willie Nile, Lyle Lovett, and Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova.
Break out the Southern Comfort for a toast between 5-6 p.m. ET at 90.7 FM and streaming online, or on demand in the WFUV Archives, on the WFUV app, or the full-tilt smart speaker of your choice.
