Sunday Supper: 1/29/23

This week's "Sunday Supper" honors two major musical figures as they exit the stage. With Bob Sherman stepping down as host of "Woody's Children" after 50-plus years, I'll salute him with songs by Pete Seeger, Tom Paxton, Gathering Time, Harry Belafonte, Happy Traum, and Rupert Wates.

I'll also pay tribute to David Crosby joining the great gig in the sky with some of the supernal harmonies he gave us with the Byrds, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and his solo work.  And speaking of harmony, I'll have a taste of Rachael & Vilray's sublime partnership on their new CD, I Love a Love Song, and Eleri Ward's dedication to the music of Stephen Sondheim.

To everything there is a season on Sundays from 5-6 p.m. EST at 90.7 FM and streaming online, or on demand in the WFUV Archives, on the WFUV app, or the time-honored smart speaker of your choice.
