Sunday Supper: 03/26/13

Coming on the heels of the vernal equinox, this week's "Sunday Supper" opens with a suite of spring songs from Luka Bloom, Richard Shindell, and others. With another harbinger of spring, baseball's opening day, right around the corner, Aaron Nathans & Michael G. Ronstadt offer a flashback to Ebbetts Field on their new song, "Flatbush Sunset."

The rest of the program is a veritable cornucopia of new releases: Tommy Emmanuel (in a duet with Molly Tuttle from Accomplice Two), Rickie Lee Jones, Taj Mahal, Willie Nelson, Mark Erelli, the Infamous Stringdusters, Alice Howe, and more. Thanks to my expanded airtime, I'll also have time for favorites like Leon Russell, Tom Petty, Willie Nile, Marshall, Crenshaw, and Norah Jones.

Celebrate the promise of spring (and the music) from 4-6 p.m. EDT at 90.7 FM and streaming online or on-demand in the WFUV Archives, on the WFUV app, or the seasonal smart speaker of your choice.
