Sunday Supper: 03/12/23
As we add more daylight to our day, "Sunday Supper" has an additional hour for your listening pleasure. That gives me time to celebrate James Taylor's 75th birthday with a slew of original songs and covers by the likes of Linda Ronstadt, Tom Rush, and Michael Brecker. I'll also toast the 90th birthday of producer-arranger extraordinaire Quincy Jones, whose work has encompassed everyone from Frank Sinatra to Roland Kirk. And speaking of eclectic artists, I'll remember the passing of David Lindley, who enhanced the work of so many, but especially Jackson Browne.
I'll also have new releases by Van Morrison, Nickel Creek, Margo Price, and Stephen Sanchez and a preview of Tuesday's "On Your Radar" at Rockwood Music Hall with the exceptionally talented Gregory McLoughlin, Kemp Harris, and Erin Ash Sullivan.
Save some daylight for the two-hour "Sunday Supper" from 4-6 p.m. EDT at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org, or any old time on demand in the WFUV Archives, on the WFUV app, or the circadian-influenced smart speaker of your choice.
