Sunday Supper: 03/05/23

With my new-found additional time for "Sunday Supper," I'm devoting half of this week's show to an encore of my 25th Anniversary Retrospective from last year. It featured some of my favorite studio performances from 25 years at WFUV, including Joan Baez, Dar Williams, Phoebe Snow, Rick Danko, Tom Rush, Judy Collins, Bobby McFerrin, Rosanne Cash, Dave Carter, Nanci Griffith, Susan Werner, Richie Havens, and Jimmy Webb.

In the second half of the show, I welcome my old friend Mark Erelli to Studio A for a conversation about Lay Your Darkness Down, the courageous album he recorded after learning he has a degenerative eye disease. Producer Jeremy Rainer will also toast Harry Belafonte's 96th birthday.

Lay your burdens down and enjoy the restorative music from 4-6 p.m. at 90.7 FM and streaming online, as well as on-demand in the WFUV Archives, on the WFUV app, or the life-giving smart speaker of your choice.
