Sunday Supper: 04/09/23

"Sunday Supper" celebrates Easter with Patty Griffin and Edwin Hawkins Singers, then follows with Jesus-oriented tunes by Woody Guthrie, Johnny Cash, Iris DeMent, Kris Kristofferson, Linda Ronstadt, Wilco, and James Maddock.  And, for good measure, spirituals and spiritually-influenced songs by Mahalia Jackson, Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, and Willie Nile.

On a secular note, we'll have songs about hometowns by Jaimee Harris, Bruce Springsteen, and Simon & Garfunkel and about gun tragedies by Rebecca Folsom, Christine Lavin, The Pairs, and Buddy Guy.
