Sunday Supper: 02/11/24

This week's "Sunday Sunday" is a veritable pinata of musical delights. It begins with a Mardi Gras overture, followed by a preview of Tuesday's "On Your Radar" with the Cosmic Orchestra and Julie Lloyd at the Bitter End, a couple of exclusive Jeff Daniels songs, and Bela Fleck's banjo version of "Rhapsody in Blue." And that's just the first hour.

The second hour is a salute to the late, lamented Bottom Line, which opened 50 years ago on Monday. With co-owner Allan Pepper as a guide (and cameos from David Bromberg and Christine Lavin), we hear what made that Greenwich Village institution special and listen to a few of the many recordings made there, including Joan Baez, Lou Reed, Loudon Wainwright, and Vassar Clements.

Music and memories from 4-6 p.m. EST at 90.7 FM and wfjv.org, as well as on demand in the WFUV Archives, on the WFUV app, or the authoritative smart speaker of your choice.
