Sunday Supper: 11/29/20
Among the sad passings of 2020, one of the most untimely was Justin Townes Earle's. His father, Steve Earle, has recorded an album of his son's songs, J.T., in his honor. Steve says, "For better or worse, I loved Justin Townes Earle more than anything else on this earth. I made this record like every other record I've ever made...for me. It was the only way I knew to say goodbye." Listen to today's "Sunday Supper" for his version of "Harlem River Blues."
We'll also have new music by Kathleen Edwards, Susan Werner, James Maddock, Indigo Girls, Chicks with Dip, Bettye LaVette, and The End of America, plus old favorites by Joni Mitchell, the Rolling Stones, Brother Sun, Cassandra Wilson, and the Everly Brothers.
Who can resist that mix from 5-6 p.m. EST at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org or, if you get sidetracked by a football game, anytime on demand in the Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app or the all-forgiving smart speaker of your choice.
