Sunday Supper: 09/20/20

This week's "Sunday Supper" benefits from the talents of some music veterans. The incessantly unpredictable Elvis Costello introduces an ebullient song from his forthcoming album, Hey Clockface, while Chris Smither offers a brand-new song from More from the Levee that's otherwise fresh takes from his catalogue. Along the same lines, Yusuf/Cat Stevens has a startling new version of "Father and Son" for the 50th anniversary reimagining of Tea for the Tillerman. And in honor of another music lifer, we give a shout-out David Bromberg for his 75th birthday.

Don't worry, the younger generation will be represented by Molly Tuttle, Parsonsfield, Emily Barker, and Gathering Time. And with the West Coast wildfires on our minds, Lenny Gallant offers a gorgeous ode to a sequoia.

Music for all ages from 5-6 p.m. at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org or on demand anytime in the Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app or the all-ages smart speaker of your choice.
