Sunday Supper: 01/17/21
I always considered Richie Havens both a mensch and a mystic. He's been gone eight years but still in our hearts, so we celebrate what would've been his 80th birthday on this week's "Sunday Supper." We'll also toast the 75th birthday of a unique American treasure, another artist with a big heart, Dolly Parton.
On the cusp of Biden's inauguration, Cliff Eberhardt introduces a compassionate tribute to our President-elect, while Ana Egge and Madeleine Peyroux provide socio-political commentary their own way. Amy Speace offers a preview of her beautiful forthcoming album, while Kathleen Edwards and Bruce Springsteen show with a couple of new songs why they were favorites in the 2020 Listener Poll.
Plenty to celebrate between 5-6 p.m. EST at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org or anytime in the WFUV Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app, or the all-knowing smart speaker of your choice.
