Sunday Supper: 01/31/21

With Groundhog Day just a few days away, this week's "Sunday Supper" will brighten this dark winter with songs of light by Gathering Sparks, Kim & Reggie Harris & Magpie, Jesse Colin Young, Darlingside, Freebo, Michael Kiwanuka, Sturgill Simpon, and Ralph Stanley. 

Ani DiFranco chooses hope over chaos on "Simultaneously" from her new album, Revolutionary Love. "I can see this alternate reality playing out," she says "one where we are all fulfilling our potential." Scott Wolfson and Other Heroes have a similar message on their new single, "We Are What We Leave Behind." And local heroes Our Band (the duo of Justin Poindexter and Sasha Papernik) supplies a summery respite to this winter weather on their new single, "Hazel."
