Sunday Supper: 02/27/22

This week's "Sunday Supper" is a bit schizoid: divided between tributes to iconic musicians and new releases. There are toasts to Johnny Cash, whose 90th birthday would've been this weekend, and Harry Belafonte, who turns 95(!) on Tuesday with a star-studded tribute at Town Hall.

Prime among the new releases is Cowboy Junkies' carefully curated album of covers, Songs of the Recollection (which brings them to the Landmark on Main Street and City Winery this week). Also new Abbie Gardner, Terry Klein, Keb' Mo', Sara Syms, and Rachael Sage, plus favorites from Bruce Cockburn and Marc Cohn for good measure.

Young and old, new and classic all come together between 5-6 p.m. EST at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org, or on demand in the WFUV Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app, or the all-encompassing smart speaker of your choice.
