Sunday Supper: 08/07/22

"(Is It) Enough Hot Enough for Ya," Carla Ulbrich asks on this week's "Sunday Supper." Loudon Wainwright III has a suggestion: a vacation from the family in a song from his brand-new album, Lifetime Achievement. Kate & Anna McGarrigle and Taj Mahal also supply outdoor activities for the summer.

A longtime summer ritual is the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. I'll recap a handful of performers from this year's festival (Phil Henry, Shanna in a Dress, and Dan Navarro) and preview this Tuesday's "On Your Radar" at Rockwood Music Hall with Sarah King, Eric Harrison, and Arielle Silver. Above and beyond all of those, listen for tunes by Pete Seeger, Townes Van Zandt, Jethro Tull, Ella Fitzgerald, and Susan Cattaneo.

Enjoy a cool, refreshing musical drink betweren 5-6 p.m. at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org or anytime in the WFUV Weekend Archives, on the WFUV app, or the air conditioned smart speaker of your choice.
